  BARLEY planted for all purposes is estimated at 5,100 acres in 2011, up from 4,400 acres in 2010. Alaska farmers seeded 1,600 acres of OATS for all purposes in 2011, down 300 acres from last year. ALL HAY is intended to be harvested from 21,000 acres in 2011.
• Potato Stocks and Disposition, June 2011
  All potatoes in storage in ALASKA as of June 1, 2011 totaled 35,000 cwt. This was 23 percent of the total 2010 production of potatoes and compares with 28,000 cwt and 20 percent on hand during the same period last year. The 2008 level for the June 1 stocks was 20,000 cwt. The five year average stocks on hand for June 1 is 32,600 cwt.
• Alaska Farm Reporter - April 2011
  Alaska milk production for January, February, and March of 2011 was 1.8 million pounds, up from the 1.5 million pounds produced in January, February and March of 2010. Milk cows, at 600 head, were unchanged from a year ago.
